DIAKHABY: "IT'S AN INCREDIBLE STORY"
The defender looks back on a fairytale result against Real Madrid
Valencia CF, together with the VCF Foundation, keep up the Club’s actions in the fight against racism and in favor of inclusion.
In this sense, Inma Ibáñez, director of the VCF Foundation, and Miguel Ángel Bossio, social ambassador of Valencia CF, have visited the facilities of Casa Caridad Valencia to show the support of the Club to the enormous work of the entity, which assists 1,600 people daily.
Specifically, this support has been exemplified by the donation of the net proceeds from the solidarity auction of the Valencia CF players' shirts in the match against Real Madrid CF (€6,000) to Casa Caridad, an exemplary, independent and plural institution that does not discriminate against anyone for reasons of race or beliefs and that is guided by mutual respect among all users to the rules of coexistence.
This relationship with Casa Caridad Valencia is historical. In fact, the proceeds from the inaugural match at Mestalla, on May 20, 1923, were donated to Casa Caridad Valencia.
Luis Miralles, president of Casa Caridad, wanted to highlight his gratitude to the Club, because "we have always said that cities are made up of people, monuments and institutions and among these are, of course, Valencia CF and the Valencian Charity Association; their relationship is centuries old".
"We have always gone hand in hand - Luis Miralles continued - and receiving this donation unites those ties that have always existed. For us it is a satisfaction that Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation collaborate with us".
Inma Ibáñez, for her part, emphasized that the Club is here "to support all the important work they do in assistance and integration".
